mostly cure
movies again, but this blog won't be a film-centric sphere, i haven't seen many pictures in the last decade
i often felt restless watching movies on a screen at home, and thought it was a waste of time; i'd rather listen to music or read a book instead. if i were truly interested in some features, i would much prefer going to a cinema, i love immersing myself in the experience there
over xmas, i completely lost my voice for days due to a cold, and while i needed rest, i also wanted to spend some time with my mom, whom i was visiting, so we watched movies together for 5 days in a row. in many ways, i was kind of wrecked on a soul level, too. all those layers of uncertainties flipped a switch in me, and i was able to just sit with the pictures. since then, i haven't had any resistance to home theatre (i might have just got melty and lost the punk in me, lol)
i can only recall these titles from those days, some of them were rewatches for me, except the ones asterisked:
Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (2004)
Broken Flowers (2005)
✴︎Cure (1997)
✴︎Poor Things (2023)
Frances Ha (2012)
How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
Marriage Story (2019)
In Bruges (2008)
✴︎Kinds Of Kindness (2024)
✴︎One Battle After Another (2025)
✴︎Perfect Days (2023)
anyhow, i was in awe during cure (1997), and i still cannot comprehend how late i was

the same goes for perfect days (2023), which ended 2 minutes before midnight on new year's eve
